Over the past week or so I've mostly been hanging around the Lagerman
Reservoir/Golden Ponds area in SW longmont.

Over the course of the week at Lagerman I have mainly seen a large spike in
Bairds Sandpipers as I'm sure the rest of Colorado has, Least Sandpipers
seem to be pretty stable at 1 or sometimes 2 each visit, Spotted Sandpipers
have been common, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs have shown up regularly but
Lesser have been more abundant, and the occasional Western Sandpiper,
Solitary Sandpiper or Wilsons Phalarope. There are also 3 Long Billed
Curlews occasionally visiting the reservoir but have been a little
unreliable.
Waterfowl have been very Sporadic at the Res. changing almost every day,
Mostly Mallards(Ovbiously) but sometimes Redheads, Northern Shovelers, and
I've seen more Blue Winged Teals there than I usually do.

August 12 was probably one of my best days ever at Lagerman with a
SEMIPALMATED PLOVER IN THE MORNING, and in the afternoon 4 BAIRDS
SANDPIPERS, 2 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, and a LEAST SANDPIPER, along with 2
WILSONS PHALAROPES, a high count of LESSER YELLOWLEGS at 15, and the
highlight being 4 early migrant STILT SANDPIPERS that were scared off by a
PEREGRINE FALCON along with almost everything else except the fearless LEYE.
At Golden Ponds on the same day there wasn't much but an early (or lost)
WHITE CROWNED SPARROW, and 4 SORAS that were very cooperative, audio wise.

At night around my house, I have had many vocalizing Great Horned Owls
having up to 3-5 in about an hour, a single Migrating Sora, and an Eastern
Screech Owl calling from a neighbor's backyard.

Not in Longmont:

Lake County:
2 probably migrating BLACK SWIFTS as I didn't see any immidiete waterfalls
in the area, over the base of Mount Sherman, 2 White Tailed Ptarmagins on
the Mountain, and 2 Northern Goshawks again closer to the base of the
mountain.

Park County: The only unusual sighting was a single Prairie Falcon flying
East of FairPlay (town)
