Hey COBirders, Nothing too unusual to report for banding today at Clear Spring Ranch, but I did get some sparrows that I don’t see often enough. Two Clay-colored Sparrows, both adult (FOS), one Brewer’s Sparrow, also adult (and some very NON-rare Chipping Sparrow juvs.)
Lazuli Buntings and Yellow Warblers continue through, but I am seeing proportionately more males of each than I was earlier. Also, family groups of Swainson’s Hawks (4) and Am Kestrels (5 today) are sometimes seen at the ranch.
