Hi Everyone,
Today 8/26 I wandered around the wooded streets of Lamar, including LCC Woods,
with new friends Beth and Linda (sorry, I didn't get last names). We did not
see Swallow-tailed Kite. We did see 40+ Mississippi Kites and a decent variety
of migrants, of which Red-eyed Vireo was the most unusual. An adult Red-headed
Woodpecker was feeding a youngster. A Queen butterfly seemed unusual; I don't
think of them as getting this far north.
