In a day complicated by the periodic presence of a Cooper's Hawk and a
monster Raccoon, we caught fewer birds. We closed some nets, and the area
went quiet as the COHA went through. Banded 25 birds:

Downy Woodpecker 1 (FOS)
House Wren 5
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 (FOS)
Yellow Warbler 3
Townsend's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 1
Wilson's Warbler 12
Song Sparrow 1

Come visit! We are open 6 days per week (CLOSED Mondays), weather
permitting, through October 15. We are opening nets at 6:30 and should have
birds back at the station before 7:30. We will close most days by about
11:30, earlier now when it is so hot. School groups arrive most weekdays at
about 9:30.
