Hey COBirders, A warm and slower day at Clear Spring Ranch banding today, but still some good migrants passed through. 29 birds total. Highlights today were an Ad female Tennessee Warbler, a Northern Waterthrush, a Clay-colored Sparrow, and adult Willow, Hammond’s, and Dusky Flycatchers. Plus the ubiquitous Wilson’s Warblers, this time of year.
As I mentioned earlier, we are getting to the close of Yellow Warbler and Lazuli Bunting time, but I had a hatch year female warbler, and an adult male and hatch year female bunting today. Each has only occurred three times after this date, in the last 5 falls.
