I've had two or three Red-breasted Nuthatches daily at my feeders for the last three weeks (Quincy Reservoir, Arapahoe County). Before they arrived, I had never seen them here. No Pygmy's, but White-breasted Nuthatches are regulars too.
They're great to watch: fearless of the much larger and more numerous House Finches, they swoop in and alternate between the insects hidden in the wood of my deck, the seeds from the feeder, and the pine cones of my ponderosa pine.
