Ann and I refound the Buff-breasted Sandpiper at the Prewitt Reservoir--Inlet Canal. It was on the mud flats very close to the inlet stream and was refound in the same area by 2 other Birders. None of us could find the American Golden-Plover.
These 2 Sandpipers look very nice in their breeding plumage. Photos in the checklist. eBird Checklist – Prewitt Reservoir--Inlet Canal, Colorado – Tue Sep 12, 2017 – 19 species ( 1 other taxa) http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S39149632 Also seen, 2 Caspian Terns, several Red-necked Phalaropes, 2 Marbled Godwits and an Osprey.
