---On October 3 Norm Lewis reported a distant Jaeger near the nature cenyer
at Barr Lake Sp.
---On October 4 Meterdith McBurney Banded a Nashville Warbler at Barr Lake
SP.
---On October 6 John Breitsch reported a Broad-winged Hawk at First Creek
at Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
---On October 7 Jonelle Balais and Bruce Cyganowski reported a Sabine’s
Gull at Cherry Creek SP.
---On October 7 Art Hudak reported a Palm Warbler (Western) from Centennial
Park.

BOULDER COUNTY:
---On September 27 David Dowell reported Red-necked Grebe and Black-bellied
Plover at Terry Lake.  Both birds
Continued through October 3.
---On October 1 Nunes reported an  imm Red Phalarope at Lagerman Reservoir,
also seen by Bill Kaempfer and Aaron Yappert and on October 3 by Mark
Minner-lee.
---On October 6 Bill Kaempfer reported a Broad-winged Hawk at Green
Mountain Cemetery.
---On October 8 Luke Pheneger reported fly over juv Broad-winged Hawk, 20+
Sandhill Cranes, and juv While-throated Sparrow at Golden Ponds in Longmont.

---On October 3 Roger Linfield reported Lark Sparrow in Empire Town Park.

---On October 7 Erik Henderickson reported 2 Red-necked Phalaropes at Glade
Lake.

---On October 5 Bart Deferme reported Palm Warbler near Castlewood Canyon
SP, at the corner of Willow Lake Dr and Caslewood Canyon Rd.
---On October 5 Bea Weaver reported Broad-winged Hawk at Castlewood Canyon
SP.

EL PASO COUNTY:
---On October 2 Jim Merritt reported Summer Tanager at Ramah Reservoir
SWA.  It was seen again on October 3 by MaryLynne and Alan Ketcham.
---On October 7 Steve Brown reported a Tundra Swan at Clear Spring Ranch.
---On October Kiki Widjaja reported a Tennessee Warbler just north of Chico
Basin Ranch, on the S Peyton Hwy, just south of Loop Rd.
---On October 8 John Bruder reported 3 fly over Sandhill Cranes on Santa Fe
Trail.
---On October 6 Aaron Yappert reported a Least Flycatcher was banded at
Chico  Basin Ranch.
---On October 7 Steve Getty reported 1st- year light phase Broad-winged
Hawk.

GRAND COUNTY:
---On October 8 Steve Weston reported Broad-winged Hawk at Rocky Mt NP
Kawuneeche Visitor Center.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
---On October 4 Lorraine Lanning reported that the Red Phalarope, present
for about 10 days, continues at Chatfield SP—S Platte River Delta.
---On September 30 Crystal Wilson reported Black Phoebe at Deer Creek Inlet
at Chatfield SP.  It was seen again on October 4 by Lorraine Lanning.

KIOWA COUNTY:
---On October 7 Steve Mlodinow reported Red Knot at Lower Queens Reservoir.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
---On October 3 Susan Allerton reported Nashville Warbler at Pastorius
Reservoir.
---On October 8 Jason St. Pierre reported 2 Slate-colored Fox Sparrows at
Oxbow Park and Preserve.

LAS ANIMAS COUNTY:
---On October 2 Glenn Walbek reported Parasitic Jaeger and 18 Surf Scoter
in the middle of nowhere in Commanche NG.

LARIMER COUNTY:
---On October 8, David Wade reported Fox Sparrow at Maple & Fishback in
Fort Collins.
---On October 8 at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area – Rigden Reservoir (Strauss
Cabin Lake), Amy Davis reported Black-bellied Plover and Semipalmated
Sandpiper.

MOFFAT COUNTY:
---On October 5 Jan Leonard and Forrest Lukw reported Pacific Loon at Big
Bottom, Southwest of Craig.  It was seen again on October 6 by Jan and by
Vic Zerbi.
On October 8, Jan Leonard and Tresa Moulton reported Pacific Loon at Big
Bottom.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
---On October 2 Coen Dexter and Brenda Wright found and photographed a
TROPICAL KINGBIRD near Nucla.   The bird was seen again on October 3.  The
area is mile and half west of Nucla, just south of the intersection of CC
road and 2700 road.  This is one half mile south of the Sewer Ponds.  The
bird was not found on October 4.

PARK COUNTY:
---On October 8 at Antero Reservoir, John Drummond reported 2 Black-bellied
Plovers and American Golden-Plover.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
---On October 6 Mark Yaeger reported Nashville Warbler at Valco Ponds SWA.

SUMMIT COUNTY:
---On October 8 Erick Hendrickson reported Semipalmated Plover and
White-throated Sparrow at Summit Reservoir.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:
---On September 23 Ben Lagasse reported Buff-breasted Sandpiper at Prewitt
Reservoir.  On October 2 Tim Smart and David Dowell reported Buff-breasted
Sandpiper at Prewitt.  On October 6 Tim Smart reported 2 Buff-breasted
Sandpipers at Prewitt.
---On October 2 Steve Kingswood reported Black-bellied Plover and American
Golden-Plover at Prewitt Reservoir.
---On October 2 Tim Smart and David Dowell reported Caspian Tern at Prewitt
Reservoir.
---On October 7 Tim Smart reported Broad-winged Hawk at Last Chance Rest
Area.

WELD COUNTY:
---On October 5 Dave Leatherman reported Eastern Phoebe, Cassin’s Kingbird,
and 900 + Sandhill Cranes at Crow Valley Campground.
---On October 8 Gene Rutherford reported Eastern Phoebe at Windsor
Reservoir.

DFO Field Trips
The DFO Field Trip for Tuesday, October 10 will be to Ken Caryl Valley Area

The DFO Field Trip for Thursday, October 12 will be to Rueter-Hess
Reservoir led by Mark Cay Burger (mcburger3 AT juco.com; 720-940-8394).
Meet at 7:30 at  Barr CCC Park 18964 S Twenty Mile Rd, Parker which is
located on the SW corner of Main St and 20 Mile Rd.  Rueter-Hess is only
open to the public with entry permission.  Bring a scope if you have one.
Register online or contact leader.

The DFO Field Trip For Saturday, October 14 will be to Chatfield SP led by
Edmind J Holub (Edmund.holub AT gmail.com;303-989-2194)
Meet at swim beach at 0800 by entering west entrance of Park off S.
Wadsworth, 1.6 miles south of C-470.  State Parks pass or day pass
required.
Be prepared to walk 1 to 1.5 miles.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, October 16 will be to Rocky Mountain Arsenal
NWR led by Candice Johnson (candice.johnson AT childrenscolorado.org.;
303-329-8131).
