Our 2-3 resident Broad-tailed Hummingbirds have been gone from our feeder since September 30, we were thrilled and surprised to have a Broad-tailed Hummingbird at our feeder this morning. 32 degrees and snowing pretty good with around 4 inches on the deck rail. It drank and rested under our deck for about 15 minutes before going to the neighbors hummer feeder. So glad we left our feeder out as David had recommended. I suspect this individual is a migrant.
