This afternoon, I saw 102 Mountain Plovers near Walsh in a field being drilled with wheat. A CPW officer told me yesterday, he had seen two flocks around 50 each north of Towner, CO on 06Oct2017 in fields being planted. I suspect any field with drilling going on will have some plovers based on my past experience. This is the final week for planting for insurance purposes.
