I went for a walk earlier this afternoon and while looking for a white-fronted 
goose, a lone goose got up off the water, was calling up a storm and flew a 
couple circles overhead. It was a white-fronted! I can only wonder if it's the 
same bird that spent last winter here. The bird was right by the library. 

Amongst the couple thousand cackling geese scattered around the lake were 2 
young snow geese by the library. Over 400 shovelers were feeding in their 
little groups all around the lake. I can't recall seeing this many shovelers 
here before.
