After checking on the Snowy Owl early this morning, I went home, and
then mid-morning, I met up with Duane Nelson at Pueblo Reservoir, and
he and I saw the Snowy Owl, and then went to the SWA on NW side of
Pueblo Reservoir, where we saw two Red-necked Grebes, a Long-tailed
Duck, and Common Loon. We then, checked the area below Pueblo
Reservoir dam, near the parking lot, west of the Pay Station, and saw
the Prairie Warbler. Then back up at the South Shore Marina tires, we
saw Glaucous, Lesser Black-backed, and Great Black-backed Gull. The
Snowy Owl continued through at least 3:00pm, visitors continued to
come until then, so I made sure everyone was able to see it through
the spotting scope. A lot of people are coming to see it, after
reading about it in the Pueblo Chieftain, or seeing it on the local TV
stations! People have been really excited to see it.

It suppose to be very windy tomorrow, I'll likely try to check on the
Snowy Owl, early in the morning again (and post to cobirds), and then
head home, and may stay there. I'll likely be out there on Saturday,
since some of my family may want me to show it to them. There might
be more boat traffic around the South Shore Marina over the weekend,
hopefully the owl doesn't get bothered by the boats. The birders have
been good, the bird is not very close to anyone, except for people on
the boats.

Good birding,
