The storm today (May 2) brought some migrant land birds to Clear Creek County. The best birding was in Minton Park in Empire, south along Main Street from the center of town. The fenced ball field and the mowed grass near the rest rooms had: Say’s Phoebe Vesper Sparrow (2) Chipping Sparrow Western Meadowlark Cassin’s Finch
