Johnson reported Red-headed Woodpecker.  On May 22 at Rocky Mountain
Arsenal NWR First Creek, Sheila Liley reported Virginia’s Warbler; Eric
DeFonso reported Broad-winged Hawk and Vermilion Flycatcher.  On May 23 at
Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR First Creek, Dean Shoup reported Mountain
Bluebird.
---On May 21 at Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR, George Ho and Bob Rolland
reported 2 Mountain Bluebirds.

ARAPAHOE  COUNTY:
---On May 23 at deKoevend Park, Jared Del Rosso and his DFO field trip
reported 11 Red Crossbills, Olive-sided Flycatcher, and Swainson’s Hawk.

BACA COUNTY:
---On May 21 in Picture Canyon, Marcel Such reported 2 Chihuahuan Raven and
3 Rufous-crowned Sparrows.
---On May 22 at Comanche NG – Lyons Camp Allotment, Marcel Such reported
Osprey, Long-billed Curlew, and Chihuahuan Raven.

BOULDER COUNTY:
—On May 21 at St Vrain River Crossing at 63rd Street, John Rutenbeck
reported Eastern Phoebe.  On May 22 at St. Vrain River Crossing at 63rd
Street, Luke Pheneger reported Eastern Phoebe..
—On May 22 at Boulder Creek at 75th St, John Vanderpoel reported Eastern
Phoebe.
---On May 21 at Walden/Sawhill Ponds, Ted Floyd reported EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE.
---On May 22 at Crane Hollow Road and Ponds, David Dowell reported Eastern
Phoebe.
---On May 22 at South Boulder Creek Trail, Heidi  Burgress reported
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.
---On May 23 at Pleasant View Marsh, Ernest Crvish reported Chestnut-sided
Warbler.

CHEYENNE COUNTY:
---On May 15 at Mitchek Ranch (Private), Glenn Walbek found and
photographed a GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER which is visible from CR 9 about ½
mile south of the Kit Carson/Cheyenne county line.  It has been seen by
several birders on May 15-18.  GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER would be a new state
record if accept.  It is very rare outside of south Texas.
---On May 21 at Mitchek Ranch view from road, John Drummond first spotted
the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER in the north Chokecherry Patch.  Many birders
got to see the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER.  Also reported were Cordilleran
Flycatcher, f Black-headed Grosbeak, and MOURNING WARBLER.
---On May 22 at Mitchek Ranch view from road, Nathan Pieplow reported the
GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER in the north Chokecherry Patch.  Many birders saw
the warbler.  Also reported were Red-headed Woodpecker, Least Flycatchers,
m Black-throated Blue Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, Dickcissel.
---On May 23 at Mitchek Ranch view from Road, Michael Lester and Christy
Payne reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER showed about 10:30 am in the
north most chockcherries on the west side of the road.  Many birders saw
the warbler.  Also reported were Alder Flycatcher, Ruby-crowned Kinglet,
and Red-headed Woodpecker.  Linda Hodges reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED
WARBLER was last seen about 12:45 pm.  The Chokecherry blossoms have died
back a great deal and it was very windy.  On May 19 when the warbler was
not seen it was also very windy.
---On May 24 at Mitchek Ranch view from Road, Mel Goff and Gene Rutherford
reported GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER from about 8:15 to 9:30 am.  Several
birders saw the warbler.  Erik Hendrickson reported the GOLDEN-CROWNED
WARBLER around 5:30 pm and Hendrickson and Marcel Such had a brief view at
about 6:55 pm.
—On May 20 the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER was reported at Mitchell Ranch by
several birders.  In addition, Dusky Flycatcher, 4 Black-headed Grosbeak,
Eastern Bluebird, Redhead and 2 Hammond’s Flycatcher.

DENVER COUNTY:
—On May 22 at First Creak at DEN OS, Eric DeFonso reported Broad-winged
Hawk.
---On May 23 at Denver International Airport on NW side, Eric DeFonso
reported singing Grasshopper Sparrow.
---On May 24 at Gun Club Rd S of E 112th Ave, Elaine Wagner reported
Cassin’s Kingbird.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
—On May 22 at Walker Road Gravel Pond, Nancy Davis and Gregg Goodrich
reported 1st summer Common Loon.

EL PASO COUNTY:
—On May 21 at Adams Open Space, Nate Kauffman reported 2 Mississippi Kites.
—On May 23 at Clear Spring Ranch, Steve Brown banded 2nd year m Painted
Bunting, 2 Ovenbirds, 2nd yr m Magnolia Warbler and reported a soaring
Mississippi Kite.
—On May 21 at Chico Basin Ranch, David Tonnessen and Jim Merritt reported
Red-headed Woodpecker.
---On May 21 at Fountain Creek Regional Park, Alan Ketchm reported Stilt
Sandpiper and Bewick’s Wren.
---On May 21 at Ice Lake, Alan Versaw reported Eastern Phoebe.
---On May 21 on Santa Fe Regional Trail – Pine Creek, Colorado Springs,
Alan  Versaw reported Eastern Phoebe.  On May 22 on Santa Fe Regional Trail

Stulp, and Janeal Thompson reported Buff-breasted Sandpiper, 60+ Stilt
Sandpipers, 60+ White-rumped Sandpipers, Black Tern, Red-headed Woodpecker,
Yellow-billed Chat, 10 Black-necked Stilts, 2 Snowy Plover, 3 Long-billed
Curlew, 2 White-faced Ibis, Peregrine Falcon, 2 Northern Bobwhite, and
Forster’s Tern.
---On May 22 at Upper Queens/Neeskah Reservoir, David Tonnessen and Jim
Merritt reported 4 Snowy Plover, 45 Stilt Sandpipers and 24 White-rumped
Sandpipers.

KIT CARSON COUNTY:
---On May 23 at Flagler Reservoir SWA, Glenn Walbek reported Red-headed
Woodpecker and Worm-eating Warbler.
---On May 21 at Siebert Sewage Ponds, Norm Lewis reported 4 Purple Martin.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
---On May 22 at Pastorius Reservoir, Susan Allerton reported 2 Cassin’s
Kingbirds.

LARIMER COUNTY:
—On May 21 at CSU Environmental Learning Center, Jim Nachel, Joseh
Bruening, Georgia Doyle, and Nick Komar reported Red-headed Woodpecker,
Indigo Bunting, Gray-cheeked Thrush, and imm Broad-winged Hawk.
---On May 23 at Matthew-Reeser Bird Sanctuary at Lake Estes, Libby Edward
reported Black-and-white Warbler.
---On May 23 at Riverbend Ponds in Fort Collins, Sue Emond reported Green
Heron. ---On May 23 at Runyon Lake, Mark Yaeger reported Mississippi Kite
and Yellow-throated Vireo.
---On May 23 at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area—Rigden Reservoir (Strauss Cabin
Lake), Jay Breidt reported Ruddy Turnstone and Rob Sparks reported Ruddy
Turnstone and Sanderling.  Many birders were able to see both birds.   On
May 24 at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area –Rigden Reservoir (Strauss Cabin
Lake), Nick Komar reported the Ruddy Turnstone reported to Rigden Reservoir
early in the morning and it was seen at Rigden Reservoir by several
birders; also reported was a Long-billed Curlew.
---On May 23 at small gravel pit on S side of Horsetooth Road directly
across from Rigden Reservoir, Sean Walters reported Ruddy Turnstone about
8:00 pm.
---On May 23 at Topminnow NA (East Horsetooth Gravel Pit), David Wade and
Andy Bankert reported Long-billed Dowitcher.

LINCOLN COUNTY:
---On May 21 on Hwy 94 at CR 185, Dale and Joel Adams reported Common Raven.

LOGAN COUNTY:
---On May 23 at North Sterling Reservoir, Mark Holmgren reported 3
HUDSONIAN GODWITS in the SE corner.
---On May 23 on 17626-17998 CR 39, Mark Holmgren reported Snow Goose.
---On May 23 at Prewitt Reservoir, Mark Holmgren reported Dickcissel.

---On May 23 at Jack’s Canyon Area, Ryan Claar reported 2 Grace’s Warblers.

---On May 22 at Big Bottom Viewpoint, Jan Leonard reported Least Tern.
Least Tern is a new county bird for Moffat.
---On May 24 at WFMC gravel Pits S of Craig, Forrest Luke and Vic Zerbi
reported Least Tern, 2 Snowy Egrets, and 2 American Avocets.

PARK COUNTY:
---On May 22 at Tarryall Reservoir, Jerry Baines reported Bonaparte’s Gull.

PUEBLO COUNTY
—On May 21 at Chico Basin Ranch, David Tonnessen and Jim Merritt reported 2
Great Egret and 2 Dickcissell.
---On May 22 at W end of Osprey Picnic Area of Pueblo Reservoir, Brandon
Percival found a Wood Thrush which Dan Stringer was able to see before it
was flushed.
---On May 22 at Mineral Palace Park, Van Truan reported Yellow-throated
Warbler.

ROUTT COUNTY:
---On May 22 at Routt Yampavian Ranch, Nancy Merrill and Tresa Moulton
reported Baltimore Oriole which was discovered by Ranch owner on May 21.
---On May 24 at 20 Mile SWA south of Hayden Power Plant on Twenty Rd, Vic
Zerbi reported Grasshopper Sparrow.
---On May 24 on CR 182 in Hayden Area, Vic Zerbi reported 3 m Bobolink.

SAGUACHE COUNTY:
---On May 21 at Russell Lakes, John Rawinski reported Great Egret.
---On May 21 on CR 46 --Take Rd Z west to CR 45 go South to stream
crossing, John Rawinski reported Northern Waterthrush and Gray Catbird.
---On May 21 in town of Saguache, John Rawinski reported Lewis’s Woodpecker
and Swainson’s Thrush.

Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.
