Chuck Hundertmark reported both herons were gone by 1930. The TRICOLORED HERON is an adult in breeding plumage. On June 10 at Walden Ponds/Cottonwood Marsh, Joel Such reported that the ad TRICOLORED HERON and ad Little Blue Heron were present and an imm Little Blue Heron was also present. Many birders got to see the birds. Late in the day, the TRICOLORED HERON appeared to be injured. Those present thought it had an encounter with a Snapping Turtle. The TRICOLORED HERON recovered. On June 11 at Walden/Sawhill Ponds, Charlie Chase, Joe Roller, and Rebecca Laroche reported 2 Little Blue Heron (1ad, 1 imm) and Caspian Tern. The Little Blue Herons were seen by many birders. ---On June 10 on Cherryvale Road (east side) across from Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks office, Bob Fiehweg reported several male Boblinks. Beward of poison ivy along the roadside. ---On June 11 at Lagerman Reservoir, John Vanderpoel reported 2 Chichuahuan Ravens.
