CObirders,

Yesterday at 5:04 AM, while starting my USGS breeding bird route on the
road at the top of Boreas Pass , I heard at least two Fox sparrows singing
with the pre-dawn chorus that included white-crowned and Lincoln’s
sparrows, robins, and mtn. bluebirds. I had two more singing fox sparrows
along the road between the top of the Pass and Como. I have previously
never heard more than one on this route.
