Since I think some birders are coming to Pueblo County this weekend, I should mention both the juvenile Tundra Swan and female/immature White-winged Scoter, both present last weekend, weren't seen today. The swan was around yesterday, though not today, and the scoter wasn't around either day. The pond has a lot more ice, so the scoter may have left the area, after being around over a month from Dec 13 to Jan 27th.
Other birds that were seen in Pueblo County today (check e-bird for details): Glaucous-winged (first year), Glaucous (immature, very white bird), Mew (2nd year), Iceland (Thayer's), Great Black-backed and Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Hermit Thrush, three White-throated Sparrows, Lincoln's Sparrow, Trumpeter Swan and Greater Scaup. Most of these birds have been around for the winter, some haven't been seen before today.
