Hi all

I birded around Weld County Saturday and Sunday. Most water is now open,
Weld CR 40, 48 have lots of nice flooded fields (both sides) for spring.
Galeton's Weld CR 61/74 ponds are full and the shorebird habitat on north
has water. Most water teeming with birds. Total of 53 species, best birds:

   - Barn Owl -1 (seen twice, I should say she saw me twice :-) ) Crow
Valley Campground on south side (Sunday)
   - Tundra Swans - 3 Cozzens Lake, Eaton (Saturday)
   - Wild Turkey - 55-65+ South Platte River crossing at Weld CR 61
   (Saturday)
   - Great-tailed Grackle - 2 Drake Lake (Sunday)
   - Greater (7) and Lesser Yellowlegs (1) Weld CR 41/46 NW Pond
   - Thousands and thousands of gulls (Ring-billed, Herring, California)
   Drake Lake (Saturday)
   - Spring arrivals: Killdeer, pelicans, 14-15 species of duck
   - House: Hairy Woodpecker, juncos and American Tree Sparrows

Posting some photos later.

Thanks Gary Lefko, Nunn
