...throwing shadows on our eyes... (I nod to Neil Young)

On Mar 20 a few first-of-season big birds passed my way. In Arapahoe an
*Osprey* was hunting for a long time in the area of Bufflehead and Cooley
lakes at South Platte Park, with 6 *Am. White Pelicans* going over,
and a *Turkey
Vulture* and some heard-only *Sandhill Cranes *passed over the vicinity of
So. Prince Street in Littleton.

Over in Jefferson, more *Sandhill Cranes* passed over the hogbacks near
Deer Creek, and 3 *White-throated Swifts* appeared briefly over their usual
nesting cliff on the Lyons hogback overlooking Deer Creek. I noticed that
their favored nesting and roosting crack has recently partially fallen
apart in a rock slide. I still need to compare with my pictures of the
crack from last year, but I think it is substantially changed and sheltered
areas the swifts used inside the rock face in that spot are now exposed.
