At about 12:45 pm this afternoon, Urling & I watched 6 Bonaparte's Gulls at the Walker Pit west of Franktown. A scope helps you see them, and their distinctive flight pattern. The pit has a smattering of ducks of several species.
I also saw one Eastern Phoebe along the Cherry Creek trail south of Walker Pit. It forayed off a barbed wire fence, east of the grove that's east of the first foot bridge (about 3/4 mile from the start of the trail.
