At Walden Ponds this morning, Canada Geese were on at least 7 nests and a FOS House Wren was singing.
At Boulder Creek and 75th, the dipper nest was complete or nearly so (one bird singing nearby). A pair of Wood Ducks flew into cottonwood branches, and a female flicker was excavating a nest cavity. Four Mallard drakes were on the creek sans partners. Could the hens be on nests? No sign of the Eastern Phoebes, but it was nearly noon when I visited.
