Hi all

Great day "putzing" around the east section of Pawnee NG yesterday. Total
of 60 species, best birds were:

   - McCown's Longspur - 34+ along Weld CR 53 south of 114, three playas
here, too. At one point got to witness 12 of them together spiraling upward
and floating to ground, neat sight. Also, present around Weld CR 49/112
   - Chestnut-collared Longspur - 9+ near Weld CR 114/45 and along Weld CR
49 south of 114. Some on fence line
   - Burrowing Owl - 7; 1 along Weld CR 53; 1 at Weld CR 53/108
intersection; 4 along Weld CR 108 btw 49/51
   - Vesper Sparrow - 1
   - American Avocet - 2; Marsh Wren - 1; Horned Grebe - 6 at Crom Lake
   - Say's Phoebe - 6 throughout trip
   - I got the raptor migration double of Rough-legged Hawk (Hwy 77) and
Swainson's Hawk (Weld CR 57 north of 124) on same day :-)
   - Loggerhead Shrike - 3; 2 along Weld CR 53 and one at Weld CR 116/Hwy
   77 playa

I'll be leading a trip for upcoming Saturday this same route.

Thanks Gary Lefko, Nunn
