A Red-throated Loon was seen on Cobb Lake this afternoon. This private reservoir on Co Rd 56 is viewable only from the road or the SWA parking lot. The loon was well concealed in a group of Western Grebes a few hundred meters from the road. It was difficult to see well but when it wasn't preening, facing the right way and the light was right, the red throat could be seen.
