Hi Larry!

That makes so much sense based on what it looked like...it was the size 
that threw me off.  I don't think of tanagers as being as big as an 
oriole!  

So, I looked it up.  AllAboutBirds and Audubon describe Bullock's Oriole as 
7 to 8.5" and Western Tanager as 6.0 to 7.5".   I've got a big husky 
Western Tanager immature male hanging around with a mob of Bullock's 
Orioles.
