Yesterday a group led by Nolan Bushnell walked the Well Gulch Nature trail
in Lory Park on the NW side of Horsetooth Reservoir.
On that walk about 2/3 of the way up to where the trail splits everyone
watched a pair of Nashville Warblers constructing a nest, in a tree right
on the trail. Photography was difficult because the birds came in from
the 'back side' and went straight into the bottom of the construction
project. and the angle from the ground difficult, however ,Nolan and others
confirmed ID as the pair were entering/leaving by the rusty/red patch on
the males' crown.
