Chestnut-sided Warbler (Arapahoe, *Boulder)



ARAPAHOE COUNTY:

—-On June 16 a Caspian Tern was reported at Cherry Creek SP by Meg Reck.

—-On June 12 a (f) Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported south of Byers,
where Arapahoe CR 42 (Knudtson Rd) crosses a small tributary of Rattlesnake
Creek, just east of CR 181, by David Suddjian.


BOULDER COUNTY:

—-On June 17 a singing male Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported from
Bluebell Canyon, 100-200 meters up McClintock Trail from the stone bridge.
First reported on June 11 by Peter Gent.


BROOMFIELD COUNTY:

—-On May 17 a (m) Baltimore Oriole was reported at Metzger Farm Open Space
by Lauren Burke. It was paired with a female Bullock’s Oriole. Please view
from a distance.


DENVER COUNTY:

—-On June 17 a (m) BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was reported in the far NE corner of
Fort Logan Cemetery, at the small pond just south of Kenyon Ave. First
found by Douglas Kibbe on June 14.

—-On June 12 a Baltimore Oriole was reported from First Creek at DEN Open
Space by Eric Dinkel. There are no previous eBird records elsewhere in
Denver County, but this is the third year in a row this oriole has graced
this spot.


LARIMER COUNTY:

—-On June 16 a Caspian Tern was reported at Arapahoe Bend Natural
Area--fishing ponds and trails by Andy Bankert.


LAS ANIMAS COUNTY:

—-On June 12 a singing Northern Parula was reported from Trinidad by Tim
Crisler. Try the northwest quadrangle of the intersection of Main & Maple
St.


MONTROSE COUNTY:

—-On June 17 a Least Flycatcher was reported from the Ute Indian Museum in
the town of Montrose by Laura Steadman. First county record.


PUEBLO COUNTY:

—-On June 16 a singing EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE was reported from the Arkansas
River Trail, halfway between Pueblo Nature Center & Pueblo Blvd; first seen
by Evan Carlson on June 10.


ROUTT COUNTY:

—-On June 12 a Prothonotary Warbler continues along the Yampa River on the
flotsam behind the Botanic Garden and the Osprey nest; first reported by
Dave and Ann Jones on May 22.
