Rare, out-of-place and out-of-season species include: Red-eyed Vireo (Elbert) White-winged Crossbill (*Boulder) BOULDER COUNTY: —-On August 14 (5) White-winged Crossbills were reported at Caribou Townsite to Bald Mountain, NW of Nederland, 39.9897321,-105.5953932, by Dave Hallock. This nomadic species is thinly distributed in Colorado. ELBERT COUNTY: ---On August 11 (3) Red-eyed Vireos were reported along W Kiowa Creek Rd by David Tønnessen. That road is SW of the town of Elbert & is a new eBird hotspot.
