To find the current location of the Ani, follow the gravel trail parallel
to the RK building (large white building with red stripe. Do not cross the
bridge. Follow the chain link fence about 100 yds to a lone cottonwood tree
next to the fence. Look into Sand Creek at another small lone cottonwood
amongst the willows. Follow the cottonwood trunk to the ground to a clump
of brown grass debris. We heard the bird calling about 0930. It was very
visible, preening and resting in this location. Will most likely remain
there during the heat of the day. Many observers this a.m. Best to get
there from Central Park Blvd and 35th, turn east on 35th to Xanthia.
