ANNA’S HUMMINGBIRD (*La Plata)
Mountain Plover (*Boulder)
Buff-breasted Sandpiper (Lincoln)
Sabine’s Gull (Arapahoe, Boulder, *Douglas, Jefferson, Pueblo) 
Philadelphia Vireo (Jefferson)
Purple Martin (Pueblo)
Northern Waterthrush (*Alamosa)
Tennessee Warbler (*Arapahoe, Jefferson)
Blackpoll Warbler (Jefferson)
Scarlet Tanager (Baca)

ALAMOSA COUNTY:
—-On September 15 a Northern Waterthrush was reported at the Alamosa Disc Golf 
Course by Ryan Bushong.   This is a first county e-bird record for this species.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
—-On September 16 a Tennessee Warbler was reported at Richmil Ranch Open Space 
(Loop trail and road) by David Suddjian.
—-On September 15 Sabine’s Gulls were reported at Cherry Creek SP; first 
reported by Cynthia Madsen on September 13.

BACA COUNTY:
—On September 15 a Scarlet Tanager was reported from Carrizo Canyon Picnic Area 
by Cameron Carver.

BOULDER COUNTY:
—-On September 16 a Mountain Plover was reported at Lagerman Reservoir (on the 
far bank) by Sue Riffe.
—-On September 15 Sabine’s Gulls were reported at Valmont and Lagerman 
Reservoir and Swede Lake by several observers.

DENVER COUNTY:
—On September 16 a GROOVE-BILLED ANI continued in the Sand Creek riparian, 
between Westerly Creek and Smith Rd. It was first reported there September 8 by 
Jason Bidgood. At times it roams upstream of Westerly Creek. Park on Xanthia St 
or on 37th near Alton Ct. 

***Please note this area is NOT in “Sand Creek Park”, which is upstream in 
Adams County.  Please don’t use this location for any e-bird report.
ALL sightings have been in Denver County.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
—On September 16 (3) Sabine’s Gulls were reported at Chatfield SP—Plum Creek 
delta. First reported here and at the Marina Sandspit over the past two weeks 
by many observers. 

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
—On September 15 a Blackpoll Warbler was reported at Belmar Park by Bez 
Bezhuidenhout.
—On September 15 Sabine’s Gulls were reported from Chatfield SP. First reported 
on September 11 by Lorraine Lanning. 
—On September 13 a (f) Tennessee Warbler was reported from Belmar Park by Aaron 
Shipe.
—On September 12 a Philadelphia Vireo was reported at Chatfield SP—Deer Creek 
by James McCall.

LA PLATA:
—-On September 16 an Anna’s Hummingbird was reported at Kenosha Trail, Edgemont 
Highlands by Brenda Wright and Coen Dexter.

LINCOLN COUNTY:
—-On September 14 a Buff-breasted Sandpiper was reported from Evilsizer 
Reservoir by Mark Peterson. This treasured wetland lies between Lincoln CRs 33 
& 39 and between CRs U & R.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
—On September 13 Sabine’s Gull was reported at Pueblo Reservoir—Sailboard area; 
first reported September 11 by Evan Carlson.
—On September 12 a Purple Martin, rare on the plains in fall, was seen at Chico 
Basin Ranch (Headquarters) by Myron Gerhard.
