Today at 11:10 when I left, there were still 6 medium sized Terns on the
east shore of Timnath Reservoir proper. They were foraging along the
northeast shore and landed in amongst the gulls on a small sand island off
the east shore, separated from the shore by a narrow water channel. Also
there was one of the on again-off again Caspian Terns. This large Tern was
foraging along the west shore catching minnows and then landed in amongst
the gulls on a sand spit point on the north shore of the lake proper. Its
large size, black cap and bright orange bill were quite noticeable.
