Rare, out-of-place and out-of-season species include: Anna’s Hummingbird (*La Plata) BROAD-BILLED HUMMINGBIRD ( Mesa ) - *(not seen in last 4 days)* American Golden Plover (Adams, Washington) Sabine’s Gull (Multiple reports in several counties; see COBirds for updates) Little Blue Heron (Logan) Field Sparrow (*Jefferson) SPRAGUE's PIPIT (Weld) Hooded Warbler (*Arapahoe, Larimer) Magnolia Warbler (Larimer) Chestnut-sided Warbler (*Adams) Palm Warbler (*Jefferson) Black-throated Green Warbler (Weld) Summer Tanager (Larimer) ADAMS COUNTY: —On October 2 a Chestnut-sided Warbler caught at Banding Station and refound after release by Megan Miller. —On October 1 an American Golden Plover was reported at Barr Lake by Robert Righter . ARAPAHOE COUNTY: —On October 2 a Hooded Warbler was reported at Lee Gulch Trail, approximately 50 ft from Mineral. First reported on Sep.20 by Santiago Taberas. JEFFERSON COUNTY: —On October 2 a Field Sparrow was reported at Belmar Park on SE side of lake. First reported by Kevin DeBoer on the 1st. —On October 2 a Palm Warbler was reported at Belmar Park on South side of lake first reported by Kevin DeBoer on the 1st. La Plata County: —On October 2 an Anna’s Hummingbird was reported at a Private Residence by James Beatty. LARIMER COUNTY: —On September 30 a Hooded Warbler was reported at a Private Residence by Caleb Alons. ---On September 28 a Magnolia Warbler was reported at the Arapahoe Bend Natural Area by Nick Komar . ---On September 28 a Summer Tanager was reported at the Arapahoe Bend Natural Area by Nick Komar. LOGAN COUNTY ---On September 28 a Little Blue Heron was reported at Jumbo Reservoir by Renee Casias . MESA COUNTY ---On September 28 the sub adult male BROAD-BILLED HUMMINGBIRD was reported at a home in Palisade . *The bird has not been seen in the last 4 days. It may be gone.* The bird is being observed not only at the feeders but also at the honeysuckle flowers below the porch , in the elm and ponderosa pine and the the juniper near the entrance to the porch.The home owner Gene Byrne and his wife are welcoming to visitors but have requested that visits now be restricted to between 3 pm and dusk. The address is 566 36 Road (East Orchard Mesa ), Palisade . The house is at the end of a long driveway just across from the fire station . Gene's house is on the right side of the drive . You can park north of the house and easily walk on to the deck/porch that is on the west side of the house overlooking the pond . The porch is in shade until about 3 pm and the majority of the sightings since Friday have been between 2:30 and 6:30 pm. This would be the fourth state record , the first in 2002 was also in Mesa County.. WASHINGTON COUNTY —On September 30 an American Golden Plover was reported at Prewitt Reservoir by Tim Smart on the 30th.
