On a morning that started quite chilly but became very nice as the sun rose
in the sky, we caught 21 new birds:

Blue Jay 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 9
Hermit Thrush 1
Spotted Towhee 1
Chipping Sparrow 3
Song Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Pink-sided 3

Tomorrow (Sunday) is our last day this fall! We are anticipating another
chilly but sunny day, with a few more of the late fall migrants we've been
catching in recent days, and perhaps another "big bird" or two - Jay,
Flicker, maybe a Hawk?! We plan to open at 7:40 and have birds back at the
station by about 8:30. We will start taking down the station at 11:40 or
earlier if we run out of birds or have weather problems.
