ADAMS COUNTY:

—On October 26 a Pacific Loon was reported at Barr Lake SP (near the dam) by 
Ira Sanders.

--On October 28 a Short-eared Owl was reported along Wildlife Drive within the 
Rocky Mountain Arsenal by Raymond Sperger.


ARAPAHOE COUNTY:

—On October 27 a Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch was reported at Cherry Creek SP -Lake 
Loop by Diane Roberts.

—On October 27 a Black Scoter was reported at Cherry Creek SP-Lake Loop.  (5) 
were first reported on October 24 by Diane Roberts.

—On October 25 a Magnolia Warbler was reported at South Platte Park, along the 
western bank of the river just north of Redtail Lake, by Santiago Tabares.


BENT COUNTY:

—On October 26 an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER was reported at Adobe Creek Reservoir 
(Blue Lake) by Steve Mlodinow.

—On October 25 an EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE was reported at Hasty Campground, below 
the dam at John Martin Reservoir, near campsite 74 in the south central part of 
the campground.  Reported by Duane Nelson.


BOULDER COUNTY:

**NOTE, the following two birds have moved between public and private property, 
but have MOSTLY been seen on PRIVATE PROPERTY, particularly when they are 
closer to 30th street.  Private property should be respected:

—On October 29 a Black-throated Green Warbler was  reported in Boulder at 29th 
Street where it crosses over tiny Canyon Creek just north of Baseline Road.  A 
Wood Thrush was further east along the creek, almost to 30th Street and was 
last reported on October 26. The Black-throated Green Warbler was first 
reported on October 19 by Nick Moore.  The Wood Thrush was first reported on 
October 23 by Nathan Pieplow.

—On October 26 a Blackburnian Warbler was reported in Boulder at Pleasant View 
Marsh by Ernest Crvich.

—On October 26 a Little Blue Heron was reported in Lafayette at Waneka 
Lake/Greenly Preserve by Randall Siebert.

--On October 28 a Red-necked Grebe was reported at Baseline Reservoir in 
Boulder, first reported by Rob Cassady on October 26.

--On October 30 (3) Tundra Swans were reported at Lagerman Agricultural 
Preserve-Lagerman Reservoir by John Rutenbeck and Luke Pheneger.

--On October 30 (5) Tundra Swans were reported at Barker Reservoir in Boulder 
by Loren Merrill.



DENVER COUNTY:

—On October 27 a Pacific Loon was reported at Marston Reservoir-West End.  
First reported on October 25 by Doug Kibbe.


DOUGLAS COUNTY:

—On October 27 a Rusty Blackbird was reported at Chatfiled SP - Plum Creek 
Delta.  First reported on October 26 by “K”.

—On October 26 a Black Scoter was reported at Chatfield SP Marina.  First 
reported at the Original Heronry Overlook on October 25 by Joey Kellner.


EL PASO COUNTY:

--On October 29 a pair of Surf Scoters was reported at Prospect Lake within 
Memorial Park, Colorado Springs, by Tanja Britton.

--On October 30 an immature Golden-crowned Sparrow was reported by Jim Merritt 
and David Tonnessen at the feeder set-up within Red Rock Canyon Open Space.


FREMONT COUNTY:

--On October 29 a Black-throated Sparrow was reported along Skyline Drive in 
Canon City by Jerry DeBoer.




GUNNISON COUNTY:

—On October 25 (3) Surf Scoters were reported at Taylor Park Reservoir by Drew 
Kelly.


JEFFERSON COUNTY:

—On October 30 a Black Scoter was reported in Lakewood at Bear Creek Lake 
Park-Big Soda Lakes North Traila.  First reported on October 26 by Phil Lyon.

—On October 26 a Black Scoter was reported at Chatfield SP-Swim Beach by Aaron 
Snipe and in the Massey Draw Area by Joey Kellner.

—On October 26 a Magnolia Warbler was reported in Lakewood  at Denver West 
Office Park (1658 Cole Boulevard), Building 6.  The Magnolia Warbler was first 
reported on October 20 by Kevin DeBoer.  On October 25 a Black-throated Green 
Warbler was at this same location; first reported on October 23 by Mark Chavez. 
 A Nashville Warbler and a Yellow Warbler, rare for this date, have also been 
reported at this site as recently as October 26.

—On October 24 a Pine Warbler was reported in Lakewood at the pond by Lakeview 
Towers at Belmar Apts. (679 S. Reed Ct.) by Steve Mlodinow.  This is also known 
on e-bird as “stakeout Yellow-throated & Prairie Warblers, Lakewood 2017”.


KIOWA COUNTY:

—On October 26 a Red-throated Loon was reported at Neenoshe Reservoir by Steve 
Mlodinow.


LARIMER COUNTY:

--On October 30 a Rusty Blackbird was reported by Dave Leatherman along a 
flowing ditch nw of the nw corner of Boxelder Reservoir #3 (Smith Reservoir 
SWA) on the east side of Larimer CR11 north of 66 Road.  The bird frequents a 
weir area with dripping water about 50 yards east of, and viewable from, CR11. 
There is a green metal gate along CR11 and walk-ins are allowed along a 
two-lane dirt road e of the gate to access views of the ditch.

--On October 30 a White-winged Scoter was reported at Horseshoe Lake in 
Loveland by Nick Komar.



MESA COUNTY:

—On October 26 a sub adult male BROAD-BILLED HUMMINGBIRD was reported at a 
private residence in Palisade.  The address is 566 36 Road (East Orchard Mesa 
).  The house is at the end of a long driveway just across from the fire 
station.  The house is on the right side of the drive. The hummer is still 
coming in on a regular basis to the driveway feeder.  Best time for viewing is 
in mornings when the sun is on the driveway feeder.  It is in the shade after 2 
pm.  Visitors are welcome to view FROM THE DRIVEWAY and park along the 
driveway.  First reported on September 28 by Gene Byrne.  This would be the 
fourth state record, the first in 2002 was also in Mesa County.



WELD COUNTY:

—On October 26 a Pacific Loon was reported at the North end of Union Reservoir 
by Glenn Walbek.

--On October 28 a Dunlin was reported at the North end of Union Reservoir by 
Susan Rosine.
