I made a stop at Union Reservoir on the way down to Denver this afternoon to see if I could find any ducks or raptors. I came across a nice group of a variety of species including various yet distant poorly lit geese, ducks, killdeer ect. I noticed a plover type bird and realized an American Golden Plover had been seen here in previous days. This seems to be the same bird. This is the, from what I understand, the Northeast end of the res. Let it be known I would have had no chance at identifying this bird as more than a black bellied/american golden due to distance had it not been seen here very recently. Also you know the busyness (and laziness) of college is real when a Gyrfalcon shows up five minutes near your house in Larimer county and it takes you a week to find out. Maybe next time.
