We took out-of-town visitors to Barr Lake the other day, hoping to show them the 100+ Bald Eagles that had been reported. The lake was frozen so we "only" saw 15 or 16 of them.
What we found interesting was 9 Am. White Pelicans standing around on the ice, this early in the year, ...and several Western Meadowlarks, only one singing, but still quite early. Also a small flock of Am. Tree Sparrows many Song Sparrows scattered along the canal Kestrel Rough-legged Hawk, roosting over in the Eagles' trees Dave Cameron Denver -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
