Highlights today:
White-faced Ibis (2 resting on the quasi-island along the east shore)
Mountain Bluebird (as many as 10 catching midges along the shore, especially on 
the boardwalk that skirts the south side of the pool)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (at least 3-4) catching midges
Pied-billed Grebe (1, has been present for several days)
Double-crested Cormorant (as many as 12 yesterday, counted 8 today)
Song Sparrow (1, northeastern corner)
Great Blue Heron (1, every other dog walker makes sure you know about the 
"crane")
lots of Common Grackles, few Red-winged Blackbirds
Cackling Goose (cripple, has been present for over a year)
[Had 3 Western Bluebirds yesterday]
[White Pelican was on lake two days ago, small flocks have been flying over 
headed north]
