By way of a nearby yard report, I'm entertaining four visitors in my
Centennial (Arapahoe Co.) yard today: Lincoln's Sparrow, White-crowned
Sparrow (occasionally singing), Orange-crowned Warbler, and Yellow-rumped
Warbler (Audubon's, also occasionally singing). Oddly enough, all four have
spent a lot time foraging on the ground, beneath a line of choke cherry and
crummy Siberian Elms, with the warblers playing at being sparrows. Both
warblers have also visited my bird bath. First I've seen of warblers in the
bath. Both the Lincoln's and the Orange-crowned Warbler have been in the
yard for a few days. This is my first all day visit from a Yellow-rumped.
Usually, they just fly through.
