*** Species Summary:
- Common Loon (1 report)
Hi all Cobirders
For those unfamiliar with e-bird rarity alerts, here, above and below,
is a sample of one
I hope the non-ebirders on the group find this sample useful
NOTE
One email can include several reports in - especially if you choose
daily instead of hourly,
and it is a busy time, and there are many ebirders in the county
All the species within the email are summarised starting in line 3 -
as above
That means that on most (all?) email apps you must OPEN the email to
see what the specie(s) are.
Each individual report within the email has all the following per each
report (scroll down)
Hope also that you don’t live in a spot with part of 5 counties within
a few miles
The system obviously relies on lists being finalised and uploaded to
ebird - which means that the news might be "old" so check the date and time
seen!
Reports are not verified - so treat them with caution
What e-bird says is 'rare' in your county(ies) may differ from what you
want to hear about
best rgds,
Dick Filby, Carbondale CO
