On my way to Bud Mielke Reservoir this morning, a Red-winged Blackbird with
completely yellow shoulder patches flew in front of my car from Cattail
Pond. My first thought was that my brain was playing tricks on me with a
Yellow-headed Blackbird, but I am 99.9% certain it was a RWBL with fully
yellow shoulder patches (hard to be 100% sure while driving). I stopped to
attempt to relocate it, but couldn't find it. I imagine it hangs around the
area, though. Would be a cool bird to photograph.
