Hi all Weld CR 124 pond is a large mudflat and had large numbers of shorebirds. The north side inlet hosted White-faced Ibis (14+) and lots and lots of both yellowlegs. The south side had even more yellowlegs and a flock of about 30-40 "peeps" way off on the southeast side of remaining pond. Also, Garter Snake crossed road while on the bridge. I suspect the Weld CR 122 pond, just over the 124 pond south berm and accessible at Weld 75/122, is similar, did not walk in to view. Weld CR 116 playa dry as a bone.
On the way up there via "Longspurs Hot Spot Route <https://tinyurl.com/longspurs>" I had 3 Sage Thrasher, 12+ Chestnut-collared Longspur (both along Weld CR 49), two Prairie Falcon (Weld CR 114 and 55) and Ferruginous Hawk fledgling (Weld CR 114) among the other usuals. At Briggsdale Work Center and Crow Valley Campground both still relatively quiet sans 3 Northern Mockingbird and 8+ Lark Sparrow and other expected birds. Crom Lake, Weld CR 61/74 and Cozzens Lake are only beginning to draw down.
