Mountain Chickadee nests broadly in the pine forest of the Palmer Divide
region, reaching out fairly far away from the mountains where the pines
march far out, such as in Douglas and Elbert Counties. In the region near
the Front Range they also nest in other areas at elevation's below our
montane regions where plantings of trees, such as you describe, have
developed to provide suitable habitat.
