Yesterday I found a Field Sparrow at the plum bush near the pelican point
parking area. It was moving fast yesterday and I lost track of it pretty
quickly.

This morning I found it in the exact same spot. And it seemed more content
to be hanging out there. For those not familiar with the area: Right at the
parking lot for pelican point there is an un-missable large plum bush right
next to the parking lot and vault toilets. When I saw it it was at the edge
of the plum bush but made its way deeper in as I observed it.

I know this seems like just another Field Sparrow in the metro area this.
But it’s interesting to consider (on eBird) there are only two records
prior to 2020 of this species in the county. And so far there have been at
least 4 or 5 individuals just this fall!
