As Robert Raker just said, I also first met Joe Roller as Dr. Joseph Roller as he did a tracheotomy on my husband. It wasn't until after he retired that I found out he was also a birder. What a guy - it's obvious that he never, ever used Dr. to impress birders, that was his "other life".
