I went out to Walden at 9:30 this morning and spent an hour checking the
ponds with a friend from Boulder Bird Club before the precip got going.
Didn't find any early migrants, but there were differences in the birds
present today from what I'd seen there on Sunday and Monday mornings:

Many more Green-winged Teal (45)
Significantly less Gadwall (17)
More Wigeon (9)
The small flock of 6 Ring-necked Ducks was gone, as were the Shovellers.
The Hooded Mergansers (18) were still present, as were the 4 Great Blue
Herons. There were still Red-winged Blackbirds on territory in the
cattails, but no flocks in the trees as there had been.
Only shorebird was a single Killdeer.
