This afternoon there was a Loggerhead shrike at Walden Ponds, Boulder. Also a red-breasted merganser, all 3 teals, 13 Wilson's snipe, 13 Hooded mergansers (all but one females; or males in non-breeding plumage?), 3 Common mergansers, among others. Lots of fly-overs just before wet snow started falling, including small flocks of pelicans and robins, arriving steadily at irregular intervals, and five Wilson's phalaropes.
