I was surprised to see an osprey last Tuesday and yesterday, the 23rd,
flying over Windsor Lake, south of Windsor Gardens. Oh, and a snipe
(Wilson's?) on the pond in the middle of our golf course - last Tuesday and
maybe it was the bird I flushed yesterday. Grey, cold, impending day, so no
golfers! Plus a new batch of GHOW owls (3) at Fairmount Cemetery, near the
Mausoleum. And the Cooper's Hawks have returned to their Highline Canal
nesting area! Yahoo! plus some yellowlegs, pelicans, avocets and western
grebes! The day kept giving!
