This morning an immature Black-legged Kittiwake was flying around the north
side of the reservoir, flashing its nice markings. There were small rain
squalls and the wind was brisk. The kittiwake seemed at home, buoyant,
dancing even. Conditions were a bit tough for me, and I retreated quickly
off the berm.
