Tonight CFO hosted speaker Freya McGregor from Birdability on Zoom speaking
about ways to be a more welcoming and inclusive birding community.

One thing mentioned that most of us can do is to take a few extra minutes
the next time you are out birding at a reasonably accessible location to
make some observations about accessibility and contribute to the
birdability map so that all birders can have access to information to find
birding locations in your area that will suit their needs.

Print out a copy of the checklist to take with you and then submit your
results online. It could be a fun challenge to fill in blanks on the
birdability map in your area.

For more ideas, we will be sharing a link to the talk later this week if
you missed it.

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said
*Gandalf*, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for
them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is
given us.”
