Fifteen visitors to the platform. Six asked about Hawkwatch. Two HW cards
handed out. Ben has been giving them out at the Wild Birds Unlimited store
and needs more. JCOS Park Ranger visited. 


Weather:
Sunny, mostly calm with a hazy horizon, south & east. Weather App: Dark
Sky. 

Raptor Observations:
LOCAL: RTHA-4. GOEA-1. PRFA-1. COHA-3. TUVU-5. -  MIGRATING: AMKE-3M, 3F.
BAEA-Adult. RTHA-1 Light morph, 1 Juv.  

Non-raptor Observations:
Woodhouse’s Scrub Jay (2). Black-billed Magpie (2). Rock Wren (1).
Spotted Towhee (1). Common Raven (10). Townsend’s Solitaire (2).
White-throated Swift (17). Violet-green Swallow (3). Say’s Phoebe (1).
Mule deer (4 on the west slope) 12 next to Rooney Rd).  eBird Checklist at

Predictions:
Tuesday looks to be warmer than today with winds coming from the south, so
better numbers might be in the cards. Looks like there was a rock slide on
the trail up. Watch out.
