Hi By the 1960’s, due to organochlorine pesticides, the once-abundant Brown Pelican disappeared from the northern Caribbean (Texas-Louisiana). Today, due to conservation initiatives, the Brown Pelican is now again abundant in the region, thus explaining the higher possibility of wanderers starting to explore distant lands.
